Bee Garden Heirloom Seed Collection Gift Set (6 varieties for the price of 5)

This seed collection includes the top 6 flowers that attract the most bees in my garden. These flowers are usually covered in bees all day long. They support both honeybees and bumble bees. Many of these flowers are also drought and heat tolerant. Therefore, they are some of the few things that will keep blooming to provide nectar/pollen for the bees during the middle of summer which is considered a "dearth period". Intermix these flowers with your veggie crops to attract more bees to pollinate your crops. This is a great gift idea for new or experienced gardeners, alike. The seeds are packaged together in a beautiful printed A6 envelope so it is ready to be gifted (see first photo). By purchasing this pack, your getting a discount at 6 packs of different varieties for the price of 5.

INCLUDED IN THIS SEED COLLECTION

1. Blue Sage Salvia - This perennial wildflower produces spikes of bright blue flowers attract loads of bees and other pollinators to the garden. Bigger bumblebees especially love them. The plant grows to 2-3 feet tall, prefers full sun, and is fairly drought tolerant once established. Its one of the few flowers that bloom despite over 100F summer days here in my Florida garden. The end of summer is a "dearth" period for bees, meaning not much is blooming in the wild for them to forage nectar/pollen. So planting a lot of blue sage really helps the bee populations during this time of the year. Makes a great addition to native wildflower gardens and meadows.

2. Red Sun Sunflowers - Flower colors are mixed, but in general you will get solid dark red/orange blooms that might have a touch of yellow at their centers. Sunflowers attract loads of pollinators like bees and butterflies. They are a rich source of pollen.

3. Agastache Korean Mint - The honey bees go crazy for Agastache! My plants are covered in bees all day long. It is perennial in zones 4-9. The plant is very drought tolerant once established and grow to a height of 3ft. It is part of the mint family, and the leaves have a licorice type of aroma.

4. Scarlet Sage - This plant is native to the southern United States. Bright fiery red tubular blooms attract a host of beneficial insects, butterflies, bees, and above all hummingbirds. The plant is an annual or tender perennial depending on which zone its growing in. The plant grows to 2-3 feet tall. Prefers full sun and is fairly drought tolerant.

5. Borage - Borage is famously known as a bee magnet. It attracts lots of pollinators and beneficial insects. The bright blue flowers are also edible. They have a cucumber like flavor and are also used to make tea. Flowers are high in Omega-6 fatty acids.

6. Tithonia aka Mexican Sunflower- It produces loads of beautiful flowers in a vibrant red-orange color that attract bees and other pollinators. The flowers are large and flat which make it easy for bees to access their pollen rich centers.

The difference between 16 oz. and 18 oz. is hard to detect.
Size: 18oz brown
These bowls don't appear to be 18 oz. In fact, they look like they're smaller than my "paper" 16 oz. bowls. Perhaps they are deeper. Still, when I put food in them, they hold pretty much what the paper 16 oz. ones do. I chose them, again because I thought I made a mistake previously to this order. I wanted the sugar cane, heavy duty, microwavable bowls that these are advertised to be. Everything is as described except the size. I'll have to make note that I shouldn't buy these because the oz.'s advertised will persuade one to buy them.
