Planting rate = 12-24 lbs./acre, 1/2 lb./1,000 sq. ft.
Pollinator Mixes
Over one third of the food we eat is pollinated by bees. There are over 4,000 species of native bees in the United States. When planting a pollinator preserve try to avoid using herbicides and pesticides. Inter-planting native grasses with our pollinator mixes provides a more diverse habitat.
Wildflower plantings are increasingly popular for their beauty and as wildlife habitat. Consider replacing some lawn or underutilized gardens with a wildflower planting. Varieties included in mixes are subject to change depending upon availability.
